The relatively small Northern Netherlands subsidiary of the German company is thus holding its own amidst the onslaught of large surrounding competitors. With a base price of €54,97 per 100 kilos, Hochwald not only ranks highest for September, but also boasts the highest base price for the first nine months of this year, averaging €55,19.
The company achieves this with a relatively modest product mix of sweetened condensed milk and a range of other, primarily liquid dairy products, some of which are branded for its parent company, the German cooperative Hochwald. Hochwald Foods also produces condensed milk for FrieslandCampina.
