Cooperative DOC Cheese is lowering its milk price for October to below €50 per 100 kilos, the second batch to do so. This is the base price, excluding premiums. Parent company DMK announced Wednesday that it is lowering the milk price.
The total reduction at DOC Cheese amounts to €3,24 per 100 kilos, bringing the basic price to €49,93 per 100 kilos, according to de Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator. Earlier, Vreugdenhil had already lowered the basic price to below €50 per 100 kilos.
This base price applies to an annual supply of 1 million kilos, excluding VAT and after deduction of the contribution to ZuivelNL. DOC Cheese members can still receive a maximum of €56,93 per 100 kilos, but this is only available to participants in the Tuurlijk milk flow.
The Tuurlijk milk flow will continue for a few more years, but will then be replaced by PlanetProof, as DOC Kaas and Jumbo recently announced.
DMK Milch in Germany has lowered its base price (Grundpreis) for October to €46,00 per 100 kilos (for non-standard German content). DMK's slightly higher performance price—which includes a Vlog premium—will be €49,19, while the price for extra sustainably produced milk (including the Haltungsstufe 3 premium) will increase to €51,18 per 100 kilos.
