Milcobel has significantly lowered the milk price for October. The Belgian dairy cooperative is cutting over €4,50 per 100 kilos from the payout price, noting that the dairy markets are still operating in a free market.
Specifically, the milk price will drop by €4,62 to €45,52 per 100 kilos, based on an annual supply of 1,3 million kilos. This is the lowest level since August 2024. Including the change in September, the reduction since the summer amounts to €7,70 per 100 kilos.
