FrieslandCampina Engro in Pakistan is performing steadily better in the current year 2025. This is evident from the figures for the third quarter of this year. Revenue is slightly higher than in the same quarter last year, but profit before tax is higher.
This is also reflected in the results up to and including the third quarter. Revenue then reached 80,2 billion rupees (the equivalent of €245 million today), compared to 82,5 billion rupees last year. Pre-tax profit up to and including the third quarter rose from 3,2 billion to 5,8 billion rupees (from €9,9 million to €18 million). In the third quarter of this year, pre-tax profit reached the equivalent of €5,9 million, compared to €3,5 million in the third quarter of last year.
What undoubtedly contributed to this year's results was that Pakistani inflation is currently much lower than in previous years. This gives the economy more stability and confidence. Meanwhile, the Pakistani market remains challenging, with frequent resistance to processed dairy products.
