DOC Kaas is lowering its advance payment for November by a larger amount than it did last month with its October advance. Nevertheless, the cooperative remains a solid mid-range driver in terms of payments.
Due to a reduction in the milk price of €5,24 per 100 kilos, the base price for an annual supply of 1 million kilos comes to €44,69. The maximum milk price – including the Tuurlijk surcharge – still amounts to €51,69 per 100 kilos. With the latest milk price, DOC Kaas even finds itself in the second highest position for this month, €1,28 behind leader Arla, as shown by the Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator.
The Tuurlijk milk stream is one of DOC Cheese's two top streams. A relatively limited number of members can participate in the Tuurlijk stream, which pays a premium of €5,00 per 100 kilos. The Koefortabel milk stream (Haltungsstufe-3 for Germany) receives a premium of €3,00 per 100 kilos, but due to interactions with other premiums, Koefortabel participants receive not €2,00, but a total of €3,00 per 100 kilos less than their Tuurlijk counterparts.
Parent company DMK has lowered the base price (GRundpreis) by €5,00 to €41,00 per 100 kilos. This is due to a deviation from German content. Dairy farmers producing for the Haltungsform-3 dairy stream will receive a milk price of €46,50 per 100 kilos.
According to DMK, the dairy market is currently in a more stable phase, after several months of sharp price drops.
