More turnover and profit for DeltaMilk in 2024

23 December 2025 - Klaas van der Horst

DeltaMilk Cooperative has had a good 2024, as evidenced by its filed annual report. Revenue increased, as did operating profit. Equity also strengthened further, albeit mainly in absolute terms.

The cooperative relies partly on milk from its own members and also continues to rely on milk from FrieslandCampina, with which it has a long-term supply agreement. However, this is no longer based on European "remedies," which were in place after the merger of Friesland Foods and Campina. These "remedies" were terminated at the end of 2023. This made 2024 the first year without any formal support from Brussels.

Results were unaffected. Revenue rose from almost €265 million to over €273 million, while operating profit increased from €3 million to €4,55 million. Members continue to receive a milk price linked to FrieslandCampina's guaranteed price, but receive a higher supplementary payment.

The company's earnings were largely used to strengthen its equity. While this was successful in absolute terms, the percentage remained stable at just over 24%, while the guaranteed capital also remained at 44%.

The vast majority of turnover is generated in the Netherlands itself, although the Dutch share fell from 97% to 96%, while sales to other EU member states almost doubled from 2% to 3,6%.
