Hochwald Foods scores highest in December
Hochwald Foods in Bolsward is lowering its milk price in December by almost €4,00 per 100 kilos, but still achieved the highest basic milk price for that month in the Netherlands. Until now, Arla seemed poised to adopt this position. It turned out differently.

In total, Hochwald is lowering the milk price for December by €3,89 per 100 kilos, slightly less than the amount the company lowered in November. Nevertheless, the base price still reached €44,09 per 100 kilos, clearly the highest base price in the Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculatorThe price mentioned is €1,07 higher than that of the next best, Arla.

Hochwald Foods Nederland doesn't just achieve the highest base price in December. Hochwald also leads the way year-round, with an average base milk price of €53,62 per 100 kilos, with premiums that can be increased to €57,32 per 100 kilos. While this isn't the highest milk price achievable, it's mainly because Hochwald offers a less extensive range of premiums than the average Dutch processor.
