Vreugdenhil is lowering its milk price for January by €3,15 to €38,61 per 100 kilos. Including the maximum bonus linked to Tomorrow's Dairy, the payout price could reach €45,41 per 100 kilos. These payout prices are based on an annual supply of 1 million kilos and the new standard Dutch milk content of 4,49% fat and 3,57% protein.
Protein over fat
Vreugdenhil's underlying milk price will see a significant change. The fat price will drop by €0,90 to €4,85 per kilo. The protein price, on the other hand, will increase by €0,25 to €5,05 per kilo. Throughout 2025, fat was valued higher than protein, but Vreugdenhil will move away from this in 2026. When asked, the company stated that this is in response to recent market developments. Fat prices fell sharply in the second half of 2025, while protein prices are more stable in the market.
