Denkavit International, a producer of young animal feed and a veal calf contractor, has had a strong 2024. The Voorthuizen-based family business recovered from a dip in 2023 and saw both revenue and profit increase. The earnings recovery was even remarkably strong.
Revenue rose 9,6% from €878 million to €962 million, almost the same as in 2022. Profit improved from €0,89 million in 2023 to €25 million in 2024. This appears to be partly the result of previous acquisitions and investments. In 2023, the company invested €42 million, among other things, in the acquisition of the feed operations in Italy, the United Kingdom, and Ireland from the British company Volac.
Denkavit International generated the majority of its revenue, €859,6 million, in Europe. The remaining portion of over €119 million was generated outside the EU. Denkavit operates in various markets outside the Netherlands but also has its own offices in several countries, including France, Italy, Spain, and the United States.
Equity remained virtually unchanged in 2024 compared to 2023, at over 61%. Inventories were several million higher than in 2023, rising to over €220 million.
