Arla Foods is lowering its milk price for February by over €2,00. Organic milk prices are also lower, having continued to rise through January. These reductions are pushing the base price for conventional milk steadily below €40,00 per 100 kilos.
The current milk price for the Netherlands has fallen by €2,21 to €36,57 per 100 kilos, according to the Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculatorIn Belgium, the milk price will drop by €2,05 to €35,37 per 100 liters. These prices are lower than what FrieslandCampina previously announced.

However, only a small group of dairy farmers receives this basic price. This is the case at many dairy companies. At Arla, a few euros are quickly added because the use of Vlog feed is mandatory, as are several other regulations.
In total, up to €6 in additional benefits can be earned, in addition to above-average rewards for sustainability (Farm Ahead).
Organic
Many of Arla's numerous premiums can be added to the organic milk price, something not available at all other processors. Incidentally, this organic milk price will decrease by 76 cents per 100 kilos for February. Nevertheless, a base price including the winter premium of over €71 per 100 kilos remains a considerable price.
