Hochwald Foods Nederland is starting its first (basic) milk price of the new year with a four. This places it among a select group of two dairy companies. Most Dutch dairy companies have lower base prices.
Hochwald is significantly lowering its base price compared to December: by €4,01 to €40,08 per 100 kilos. This is the price based on an annual supply of 1 million kilos, excluding VAT and after payment of the ZuivelNL contribution. Including surcharges, the maximum amount received is €43,78 per 100 kilos.
With that last price, Hochwald is not a leader, because the company does not have milk flows in the top segment.
The company compensates for this with a relatively high basic milk price. Only Cono pays more for January, but this cooperative has not yet all details of the milk price announced.
