FrieslandCampina is taking a wait-and-see approach after a rebound in the dairy market. As a result, the current milk price for March remains stable. Meanwhile, the organic milk price is declining.
Formally, FrieslandCampina is not itself concluding that the milk price should remain unchanged. However, the company expects that the farms it uses as a benchmark for determining the guaranteed price will maintain their current milk prices for March. This is FrieslandCampina's reason for doing so. The underlying reason is that the dairy market has taken an unexpected turn in recent weeks, from a downward trend to an upward trend again.
The guaranteed price remains the same at €39,00 per 100 kilos. Those who earn all available bonuses through the Foqus Planet system can earn an additional €3,71. The smaller group of PlanetProof farmers can earn an additional €1 per 100 kilos.
Below are the current and organic milk prices for the Netherlands based on an annual supply of 1 million kilos, plus the current milk price in Belgium based on 1,3 million liters per year. See also Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator.

Organic dairy farmers are currently losing €1,50 per 100 kilos. Market prices have declined slightly, and FrieslandCampina expects its reference companies to adjust their organic farm milk payments accordingly.
