Arla Foods' turnover is rising fastest in the Netherlands

Arla Foods performed well in the Netherlands last year. Revenue there rose by 25% to over €1,1 billion, according to the company's annual report. This makes the Netherlands the sales market with the strongest growth. The ranking of sales countries remains unchanged. The Netherlands remains Arla's fifth-largest market.

Arla's total revenue accounts for 58% in Europe, primarily in retail. Arla is strong in the consumer dairy sector. The Netherlands is ranked first in four countries. The United Kingdom, with nearly €3,8 billion, is in first place. Sweden follows with a revenue of almost €2 billion. Germany and Denmark account for €1,7 and €1,4 billion respectively.   

Arla Foods Netherlands is primarily active in consumer dairy. Some of this is imported, while others are produced at the factory in Nijkerk.

Arla also performed well in the ingredients business, but the company only published summary results for the individual divisions. However, it did report excellent results. Revenue rose by 43% to €1.452 million, representing just under 10% of total revenue. Margins were also good, but a profit figure was not disclosed.
