A-ware is clearly making up ground with the latest milk price increase for April. In Belgium, the increase is even slightly larger than in the Netherlands. As a result, the gap with FrieslandCampina is narrowing slightly.
For the current month, A-ware is paying a base price of €38,21 per 100 liters, based on an annual delivery of 1,3 million liters. That is €3,08 more than was paid for March.
This increase clearly narrows the payout gap with market leader FrieslandCampina. That difference had risen to €1,75 per 100 liters on the base price in February and March. Now it stands at €1,10 per 100 liters. However, A-ware is once again paying a higher price than Arla, as can also be seen in the Boerenbusiness Belgian Milk Price Comparator.
The other major processors in Belgium publish their milk prices later.
Laiterie des Ardennes already raised the milk price for February by 62 cents per 100 liters last month. This cooperative will not publish the milk price for March again for about two weeks.
