Eko-Holland slightly lowers April milk price
Supplier cooperative Eko-Holland is slightly lowering the organic milk price for April. The biodynamic milk price for this month is also being reduced. With this step, Eko-Holland is following the example of FrieslandCampina.

As a result, Eko-Holland's organic base price for April amounts to €67,05 per 100 kilos, excluding VAT and based on an annual delivery of 1 million kilos of milk. The biodynamic milk price amounts to €72,05 per 100 kilos. In both cases, the reduction compared to March is 75 cents per 100 kilos.
Many processors in the Organic Milk Price Comparison Tool of Boerenbusiness lowered their milk prices in March, but Arla actually increased the organic milk price in April (and also pays more than Eko-Holland), while A-ware is keeping the organic milk price the same and FrieslandCampina is also lowering the organic milk price. In the case of the latter, this is partly because this processor still applies monthly seasonal surcharges and discounts for organic milk. Eko-Holland also applies such surcharges, but only calculates them at the end of the year.
