Cono keeps milk price above 40 euros

The base payout price for standard fat and protein levels and an annual delivery of 1 million kilos amounts to €40,14 per 100 kilos. This puts Cono back in the lead in March, with a substantial lead of nearly €1,50 over the runner-up.
Including surcharges, the payout price can rise to a maximum of €46,14 per 100 kilos. The actual milk price, as communicated by Cono itself, amounts to €44,34. Focus on branded cheese
The explanation lies in the strategic direction. Cono is less dependent on the volatile commodity market and is focusing explicitly on branded cheese. In a rapidly rising market, the opposite is true, and branded cheeses sometimes lag behind.
High whey powder prices
In addition, Cono is benefiting from the strong price development of whey powder.
