The base milk price for March is rising according to the Belgian milk price calculator van Boerenbusiness by 47 cents to €35,18 per 100 liters. This concerns the milk price based on actual Belgian fat and protein content and an annual delivery of 1,3 million liters.
Members can receive up to 95 cents extra per 100 liters through premiums. This excludes retroactive payment.
The increase in the milk price is in line with the promise the cooperative made in early March to raise milk payments. This is being achieved through, among other things, an expansion of the product range and investments in whey processing.
