Milk price at A-ware continues to rise, despite price pressure on the cheese market and fluctuating dairy valuations. Read more about the development of the A-ware milk price.
A-ware is raising the milk price in the Netherlands by €0,40. This brings the actual milk price to €44,49 per 100 kilos. The base milk price in the Milk price comparator Boerenbusiness rises to €40,32 per 100 kilos. This has been calculated based on standard Dutch levels and an annual delivery of 1 million kilos.
Including the maximum achievable premium linked to the Better for Milk stream, the payout price can rise to €47,82 per 100 kilos.
Based on developments in the dairy market, a second consecutive increase was by no means certain. Cheese prices have been under pressure for several weeks. However, the appreciation of whey proteins is positive, with prices now above €1.700 per ton, according to DCA benchmarks. This is a record high.
The increase in the milk price at A-ware stems from a higher protein price. The fat price remains stable this month.
Belgium
In Belgium And for suppliers in the Southwest Netherlands, the milk price is also rising this month, by €0,62 to €38,82 per 100 liters. This is calculated based on standard Belgian fat and protein levels and an annual delivery of 1,3 million kilos. In Belgium, both the fat and protein prices have been increased.
