The Eko-Holland organic base price will not fall further after two consecutive reductions and remains unchanged in May at €67,05 per 100 kilos, excluding VAT and based on an annual delivery of 1 million kilos of milk. The biodynamic milk price comes in at €72,05 per 100 kilos.

A-ware's organic milk price has remained stable at €68,30 per 100 kilos since February. Because other processors have dropped their prices, the cheesemaker is now leading the organic market. Milk price comparator Boerenbusiness

FrieslandCampina also did not lower the guaranteed organic price further and kept it unchanged at €61,75 per 100 kilos. Due to the seasonal discount of €2, the real payout price of €57,67 per 100 kilos is slightly lower. Nevertheless, in a statement, FrieslandCampina expressed the expectation that organic milk prices will fall further. The fact that the guaranteed price did not move in line with this is because the market was assessed slightly negatively in March.

For the time being, Arla is the only processor where the organic milk price shows a clear decline this month. The organic milk price in the Netherlands is falling by €2,95 to €67,05 per 100 kilos, partly due to declining seasonal surcharges.

All in all, the organic dairy market still feels shaky. Buyers speak of excellent sales opportunities, but the supply of organic milk is high, partly because supply is currently at its seasonal peak.
