DMK expects the first products from the new factory to hit the market in the autumn of 2026. The finishing touches are currently being put on the factory and the product certification.

DMK, which is set to merge with Arla as planned, calls the new factory of great strategic importance. Worldwide, the number of lactoferrin producers is limited, ensuring a market.

The investment is also important for the region. Altentreptow is located in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, a region that can benefit from additional investments and employment.
