The countdown for the dairy farmer has begun. From mid-February, manure may also be spread on grassland, which is also very much needed, judging by the full manure pits at the dairy farmers.
Various intermediaries were able to spread manure last week. A number of intermediaries have benefited from the network in Germany. Still, it certainly wasn't a storm. The biggest reason for spreading manure was the full manure pits. Sometimes grass seed plots were gratefully used, where the initial situation was described as ideal.
The supply of manure is not excessive, despite the full manure pits. The barest minimum is removed, an image that has hung over the manure market all winter, which means that the intermediate storages are less full than in the spring of 2016. This is partly caused by the sky-high collection contributions this winter, but in the background it also counts. the shrinkage of livestock. Whether the latter will dictate price movements in the spring is and remains the big question.
