Last week, the expectations for this week were not very positive with regard to the sale of manure. Unfortunately, the expectations have come true, so that the elimination of manure for the Netherlands has not been an issue.
This means that intermediaries have at most been able to fill manure silos further this week, or have transported manure to processing. This mainly concerned fattening pig slurry.
The pressure on the dairy farmer seems to be relieved for the short term, because a reasonable amount of manure could be applied from mid-February. But not every intermediary still has silo space at their disposal, which means that tankers are also stationary.
The changeable weather type will manage the manure movements in the near future, but will also determine the level of the collection contributions. Despite the weather problems, the supply of manure appears to be limited.
