There are happy faces visible when it comes to the course of the spring campaign in manure. This week, the spreading of manure is broadly aimed at completing the agreements that have been made. This removes quite a bit of tension that dominated the fertilizer market a few weeks ago.

Some contractors/intermediaries will continue working in the grass at the end of this week and can continue spreading manure after the harvest. Others use the time to replenish the manure silos for the autumn campaign and make appointments. As a result, it is still running reasonably well for this time of year.

Manure supply still good

Pig farmers offer
The supply of manure is still considerable in comparison. The supply of fattening pig slurry in particular is considered to be substantial. Due to the (comparatively) good meat prices, pig farmers appear to be offering more. The stock from previous years is only now being offered. However, sales of fattening pig slurry are faltering. Germany
The sale of manure to Germany will also be restricted by new legislation next summer. Intermediaries are already noticing reluctance among German arable farmers.

The collection contributions are only moving very slightly this week.
