The amount of manure discharge was lower in the first two quarters of 2017 than in the same period in 2016, according to recently published figures from RVO.nl. The export of manure to Germany has decreased the most.
The discharge of manure decreased in the first two quarters of 2017 by 475.500 tons compared to 2016. The discharge to private individuals, horticultural companies and intermediaries has decreased in particular. The export to mixed farms, on the other hand, has increased by 36.850 tons.

It is mainly the poultry farmers who removed considerably less manure in the first two quarters of 2017 compared to the first two quarters in 2016. This is 161.660 tons less.
Export
Less manure was exported in the first two quarters of 2017 compared to 2016, namely 162.590 tons. Poultry manure exports decreased by 55.500 tons, while pig manure exports increased by 18.800 tons.
The export to Germany decreased the most, with 55.800 tons.
