The demand for cattle slurry is currently so great that a demand market has arisen. This is also reflected in the prices.
Arable farmers are in high demand for cattle slurry. However, this spring a lot of cattle slurry has been spread and there are hardly any stocks. This results in a demand market. The collection fees that cattle farmers have to pay to get rid of their manure are falling.
Cattle manure drops by half to whole euro
Prices fell the most in the Tilburg region, namely by €1 to €16 per cubic meter. In the Deurne region, the price also fell by half a euro, just like in the eastern region of Lichtenvoorde. However, in this region, cattle slurry is still the most expensive at €16,50 per cubic meter. In the area around Uden, the price is at the same high level as in the east. The most advantageous is cattle manure in the center of the country, the Markelo and Barneveld regions.
The price level in week 28 is comparable to that in the same period last year. In 2015, the collection contributions were on average one euro lower than today.
