The collection contributions for cattle slurry have increased by €0,50 per tonne in the regions of Tilburg, Barneveld and Markelo, compared to week 31. This price increase is remarkable, because the market reported earlier this spring that a lot of cattle slurry has been spread.

16,50

per tonne in the regions of Tilburg, Uden and Lichtenvoorde

The price increase is mainly caused by an increasing supply of cow manure, while the demand for it is not increasing. Dutch arable farmers are mainly looking for processed manure in order to be able to fertilize more tailor-made. It also appears that the amount of fertilization space that arable farmers still have is limited.

Most expensive regions: south and east
Cattle slurry in the south of the Netherlands (Tilburg and Uden region) has proven to be the most expensive. The eastern region of Lichtenvoorde also scores high. In these 3 areas, cattle farmers pay €16,50 per tonne.

Cattle farmers in the Barneveld and Markelo region pay the least for their manure. They pay €1,50 per tonne less than the farmers in the above regions. This brings the amount to €15 per tonne. The price is on average €0,80 per tonne lower than in the south of the Netherlands.
