The percentages for mandatory manure processing will not change in 2018. Carola Schouten, Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, announced this in a letter to the House of Representatives on Wednesday 20 December.
Farms with a manure surplus must have part of this surplus processed. These percentages will not be changed compared to 2017. These percentages have been set at 59% for the South region, 52% for the East region and 10% for the other region.
Based on phosphate production
The percentages for manure processing determined on the basis of current data on national phosphate production and the scope for placement within Dutch agriculture.
