EC makes proposal

April 4: D-day for extension of derogation

23 March 2018 - Wouter Baan - 14 comments

The European Commission (EC) has proposed to extend the derogation for broader spreading standards for manure by 2 years. The EC Nitrate Committee will vote on this proposal on Wednesday 4 April.

The conditions of the derogation in the proposal made are the same as those between 2014 and 2017. Farms with at least 80% grassland can claim to increase the maximum amount of nitrogen (from 170 kilos to 230 or 250 kilos per hectare per year). The phosphate ceiling (172,9 million kilos per year) will also be maintained.

Shorter than usual
However, the extension period in the proposal is 2 years shorter than normal. This is partly due to the recent cattle- and manure fraud

But a year without a derogation is also possible. Phosphate ceiling can be raised.

Abolish those unjust rules. Fertilize every acre equally. And not the polluter who likes the most is impossible to explain.

The groundwater quality of the grassland of dairy farmers with a derogation is simply good. So what are you talking about with "polluter"?

Not with me under the clay either, I have been the victim of the practices in the rest of the country for years.

Suppose we both buy a car (the same one) you can drive me 55 km per hour and I 95 km per hour, because I have a different background. Then that could perhaps be seen as discriminatory in our society.

The utilization percentage of the fertilizers is much better in arable farming. Arable farming wastes less is cleaner and the surplus from livestock farming can compensate for the waste nationwide. honestly?
Jeroen 25 March 2018
It would be crazy for words if the derogation is approved
If there is fraud no derogation...

That is the wages deserved!!!

End of derogation

all arable farmers are obliged to have 50% grassland. then we can do without derogation

I myself have never participated in derogation. I must now pay for it. Abolish that trade. everyone 190 kg n then there is about as much placement space as now with that shitty derogation. no p ceiling, no poke.

Simple indeed, let arable farmers grow grass_clover, sell it to livestock farmers at grain+ price, and turn it into chunks as a soy substitute. Win-win-win situation / no more GMO feed needed, much less transport with raw materials, third branch for arable farming with soil improvement, and puts the raw materials and phyto multinationals out of the game, and thus preserve the rainforest in South America.

But we don't have the same car. You can pretend, but you don't. And that has nothing to do with background.
You can no longer respond.
