It became clear early this season that it could be a difficult season for manure sales. The start was considerably delayed due to the extreme weather conditions. However, anyone who now looks back on the spring campaign must recognize that the sale of manure has never been as difficult as this spring.

Now that the spring application of manure is over, it is clear that the supply of manure (mainly fattening pig slurry) remains as large as ever. We hope for a nice late summer, which can be used to spread manure.

Many not finished
It is assumed that 40% to 45% of the fattening pig slurry was not spread this spring. That's it a large part still in the wells of the pig farmers. Anyone who now has to deliver manure to keep it under the slats must hope to find a place with a processor.

Very occasionally some manure can still be unloaded onto grassland; this is when the livestock farmer does not have sufficient manure himself. There is little incentive to drive manure into storage facilities now. In all cases, the disposal of fattening pig slurry has become an expensive affair.

Collection contributions
How do the collection contributions compared to previous years is clear in the table below. This concerns the average collection contributions for fattening pig slurry and cattle slurry in the period from October to May (week 21).
