Wageningen Research (WUR) has handed over the 'disappeared' data from the ammonia tests between 1997 and 2016 to Geesje Rotgers. As a result, WUR has yielded to pressure from the Mesdag Fund. Chairman Jan Cees Vogelaar is pleased that the data has been shared.
Which data is and is not available, and does WUR make it available or not? On Friday 6 July, Vogelaar stated that there is a 'childish' game was played. At that time, WUR indicated that it only had processed data and not the raw data, but the question was whether the raw data could be made available.
Yielding under pressure
On Friday, the WUR finally gave in and Rotgers was given the requested information to borrow. This concerns data collected between 1997 and 2016 during investigations into above-ground manure application and sod fertilization. The Mesdag Fund would have preferred to receive the data in 2015, but is pleased that it is now available.
The next step is to analyze the information and then see what the next steps will look like. This does not close the ammonia file.
