Since February, the price for KAS has fallen sharply, but that sentiment is a thing of the past. The KAS price has set off an increase again. Not only the price of CAN is rising, because the prices of potash and triple superphosphate have also found their way up.
De price of Nutramon-KAS from OCI has increased by €20 since week 1 to €23,40. The price of normal calcium ammonium nitrate has risen to €21,45, after reaching a low in week 21. On the other hand, the price of urea is under pressure. There are currently several factors that can influence the price in the short term, for example the drop in the price of natural gas and the reduced use of fertilizer due to the drought.
Other fertilizers
Other fertilizers are also becoming more expensive. Since the end of 2018, the price of potassium salt has increased from approximately €30 per 100 kilos to €33 per 100 kilos. The price of triple superphosphate is more stable, but remains at a high level: €40,40 per 100 kilos (loose at Triferto).
