The fertilizer market has been benefiting from good weather conditions for several weeks now. Many manure intermediaries indicate that the spring transition is as good as completed.

The DCA manure collection amounts have only changed slightly in the south this week. While the price of pig slurry in the south has increased slightly, the price of cattle slurry in the south has actually decreased slightly. In the central region, the prices of both fattening pig slurry and cattle slurry remained unchanged this week.

Fattening pig slurry
The average price of fattening pig slurry increased slightly this week in the southern region, while in the central region prices remained unchanged. The price in the south region has increased to €23,17. This increase comes from the price increase in Tilburg, where the price increased by 1 euro to €22,50. This means that the regional ranking remains unchanged and Deurne (€24) continues to charge the highest price and Uden (€23) still charges the lowest price.

There have been no price changes in the central region this week. The average price remains at €20. Lichtenvoorde remains in the lead here with a collection amount of €21. Markelo has the lowest price in the region of €19.

Cattle Slurry
There are also only fluctuations in the collection amounts for cattle slurry in the south region. The average price there has decreased to €15,17. This decrease is due to the price drops in Deurne and Uden. Prices there have both decreased by 50 cents. This brings Deurne back to an amount of €15,50. The price in Deurne is at the same level as the price in Tilburg. The collection contribution in Uden is reduced to €14,50

There have been no price fluctuations in the central region this week. The average price there remains €13,17. Lichtenvoorde continues to charge the highest price at €14. The price remains the lowest in Barneveld at €12,50.

Derogation 2020
To date, nothing is known about the derogation options in 2020. The European Commission has not yet taken a decision. It is therefore still unclear whether permits can be applied for. The European Commission is expected to make a decision on this this spring.

Agriculture Minister Schouten has requested a derogation for 2020 with the same conditions as in previous years. The RVO therefore recommends that you adhere to the 2018 and 2019 conditions in advance.
