Burger stays at home, farmer on the road on national action day

16 July 2020 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 3 comments

Farmers Defense Force (FDF) has renamed the previously announced action day of Wednesday 22 July as National Nitrogen Reduction Day. On that day, the movement calls on citizens to stay at home and not to go out by car. FDF does call on all farmers to 'speed up' with the tractor. The board has 1 specific goal in mind for this.

FDF has not yet announced what purpose this is. According to the organization, the 'biggest bastard in the Netherlands' must be held accountable. Whether this is a company, person or organization, the board does not specify in a statement. FDF motivates the action with a quote that King Willem-Alexander made at the conclusion of a state visit to India last autumn. In it, the monarch indicated that the nitrogen problem as a society must be solved as a whole and not just by the agricultural entrepreneurs.

Realize nitrogen gain
FDF therefore calls on all citizens to stay at home for a day on Wednesday and leave their car behind. The nitrogen gain that is thus achieved can then be settled by agriculture minister Carola Schouten in her - as it is described - 'administrative disaster scenario with which she wants to build houses.' At the same time, the organization is calling on all farmers in the Netherlands to set out with the tractor, with the ultimate goal of Schouten withdrawing the announced feed measure.

Because FDF sees dark clouds looming in the distance before 2021, the board writes. The Ministry of Agriculture wants to meet again next Tuesday with a group of interest representatives it has invited to discuss the nitrogen reduction measures that the agricultural sector must implement in 2021. FDF was not invited to this meeting. "Schouten has especially invited green splinter clubs to saddle us with new impossible rules."

I would like to participate, but then the hopeless resources policy in arable farming must become the spearhead!
Now it is for 80% livestock farmers who participate.

They simply have to implement the wishes of the intensive livestock farmers among activists and also provide the cow shed with an air washer, you will be rid of that feed measure and cows will remain healthy.
You can no longer respond.
