In the coming years, the Central Government Real Estate Agency (RVB) will try to use its land portfolio - of 41.000 hectares of agricultural land - more flexibly and possibly expand it. This is what Eelco Terpstra, head of the agricultural use section, tells us in a new episode of the Grondcast.
RVB has been issuing vacant leased land for ten years via a public subscription. To prevent misuse of these grounds, it is working on 'building plan monitoring'. From this autumn, sustainable cultivation will also be looked at, which is guaranteed by, for example, a PlanetProof certificate. Existing tenants are also being monitored more and more closely.
