After 2 dry summers and the wet autumn of 2019, the weed pressure in many grassland plots is very high. For adequate control, it is important to intervene in the short term.
The dry summer has created many open spaces, where weeds have had the chance to develop. The wet and relatively warm autumn weather allowed the weeds to continue to develop. As a result, there are now many well-developed weeds in the grassland, which hinders good grass growth with the right quality. After the cold conditions of the past week, grass growth will now start again with the rising temperatures. Due to the length of the grass, it is necessary in the short term to carry out a good weed spraying.
State of affairs April 3, 2020
Along the way we see many grassland plots with overdue maintenance, so time to fight weeds. The weather is now growing again, so the conditions are good. Starting next week, the most common grassland weeds can be controlled, such as small field cress, shepherd's purse, wall and dandelion. Pay close attention to whether there is also a cranesbill in your meadow. Cranesbill can be recognized by the typical serrated round leaf (see photo). When you have Cranesbill in your grassland, it is recommended to use Tapir with Jepolinex Pro instead of Tapir with Cirran.
It is still too early to spray for knight sorrel. Knight's sorrel must have sufficient leaves to be able to absorb the active substances and then transport them to the taproot.
