Fertilization in the (late) summer: give potassium and sodium

ForFarmers has recently added 2 new fertilizers to its range for fertilization in the summer and late summer: GroGrass Summer Mowing and GoGrass Summer Meadows, for lots of young and tasty grass.

GroGrass Summer mowing provides extra potassium, which the grass often needs from the third cut. It also contains 13% nitrogen. Ideal, because this way you can bring the nutrient requirements of the grass for the fields to be mowed back up to standard in one pass.

Kali keeps the grass healthy
The importance of sufficient potassium in the summer and late summer is great. Sufficient potassium prevents typical stress symptoms such as rust and ensures that grass can absorb moisture better in order to be more resistant to drought. Kali deficiency can be recognized by the light color of the grass and brown tops. It often occurs after multiple cuts with high dry matter yields, especially on sandy soils. This certainly applies if no more slurry is spread after the second cut.

Sodium, seasoning for grass
If you graze the cows, GroGrass Zomergraiden is suitable for your plots. In addition to 10% sodium, this fertilizer contains 18% potassium and 10% nitrogen. This allows you to maintain or improve the palatability and improve other important nutrients in one pass. Accurate spreading of small amounts of nitrogen in late summer is particularly difficult. The combination of nitrogen, sodium and potassium in one product solves this problem.
