This allows all climate conditions on the plot to be measured. Then Herman Krebbers, expert projects and innovations at Delphy, the results of several fertilization trials that were carried out last year on a few plots of maize. This has already led to a number of interesting discussions that look promising and will certainly be discussed in the upcoming season Boerenbusiness† Finally, Jan Roothaert, project manager of Limagrain, concluded with a presentation about Agrillity, a maize cultivation aid that will also be used in the coming growing season of the Roughage Tour.
In the afternoon, the group was scheduled for a tour of the Spiker family's farm, where approximately 300 cows are milked and 160 hectares of land are worked for roughage for the dairy cows. All the farm work is done in-house, with all the maize and grass being chopped ourselves.
