All Fendt models, from the 300 to the 900 series, have additional options in the option list. That makes the manufacturer known. The focus is mainly on the addition of GPS. Anyone who wants to drive straight was previously obliged to purchase a luxury model. From this month you can also order a simpler model with GPS technology.
It was previously not possible at all to purchase a GPS system ex works on the 300 series. Fendt is changing that. The company already showed this at the Sima in Paris. You do have to choose the ProfiPlus package for this. You can then choose from a NovAtel or Trimble receiver. A bit special, because parent company Agco works closely with Topcon. The brand probably hopes to further distinguish itself from the other Agco brands.
Farmer demands GPS
You can choose from VarioGuide Standard or VarioGuide RTK. They provide an accuracy of 20 or 2 centimetres. The increasing demand from livestock farming is the reason for Fendt to offer GPS. GPS is also a requirement on these farms for, among other things, injecting and spreading manure, spreading fertilizer and other activities. In addition, it relieves the driver.
New edition
Where Fendt focuses on more luxury on the 300 series, it is the other way around for the 500 and 700 series. Anyone familiar with Fendt knows the option packages it uses. For the 500 and 700 series there are now 4: Power, PowerPlus, Profi and ProfiPlus. PowerPlus is new to this series and offers (RTK)GPS on a relatively simple tractor. The Power version remains the only option where GPS is not yet possible from the factory.
Hydraulic couplings
Fendt launched numerous innovations on the new 1000 series. The first is now trickling down to the smaller 900 and 800 series. It concerns the flat face hydraulic couplings (FFC). The advantages are that this way of connecting hydraulics can handle a higher working pressure, leaks less, is easier to connect and is easier to keep clean. As standard, FFC can handle a maximum of 140l/min for six valves. Option is four valves that deliver 170l/min.
The standard 'male-female' couplings can also still be used. To do this, you exchange the flat couplings with the old system. Machines therefore do not need to be adapted. You can depressurise them via a lever and a breakout protection ensures that hoses disconnect without damage if you accidentally drive away without disconnecting. You can connect up to 4 hoses at once via a quick coupling, as you are used to with front loaders. This way, hoses are always in the right hole. The option is available from this month.

Fendt's FFC. It already won an award in 2013. It is now available on the 1000, 900 and 800 series.
