Motion adopted

Lifebuoy successful for POR scheme

'A very nice Valentine's Day gift', is what Ingrid Jansen calls the adopted motion that can save the POR scheme. In any case, it means that the House of Representatives is in favour. Now State Secretary Martijn van Dam still has to work on it.

VVD and CDA came together with a motion for the retention of the POR scheme, Regulation Exemption from Production Rights Fertilizers Act. An arrangement that in a tight month time has come to an end. Abolition of this has major consequences for poultry farmers and pig farmers. The first group in particular will be in trouble because of the end of the POR.

The motion was passed on Valentine's Day, sending a signal to Van Dam. Ultimately, he decides how to proceed or whether he will ignore the motion. The supporters are: SGP, PVV, Van Vliet, Houwers, CU, 50Plus and GrBvK. Against were SP, D66, GRKÖ, PvdD, PvdA, Monasch, GL and Klein.
