POV appoints two veterans

The Producers Organization Pig Farming (POV) has appointed 2 new people to strengthen the market and chain position. It concerns: Ton Wortel, former CEO of The Greenery, and Paul Jansen, former director at Vion.

Ton Wortel (58) has been appointed as quartermaster for 'Chain Innovation and New Concepts'. He will be involved in the preparations for the development of distinctive market concepts. Paul Jansen (64) will work as a quartermaster for 'Restructuring'. 

The function of 'quartermaster' can be seen as someone who explores new paths. Jansen, who was director of Corporate Public Affairs Agri at Vion until 2014, held a similar position in horticulture last year.

Development company founded
The work for the restructuring are carried out by the Development Company Pig Husbandry. The Development Company has now been established and is working on a business plan and financing proposal, among other things. 

Wouter Job

Wouter Baan is Head of Meat & Dairy at BoerenbusinessAt DCA Market Intelligence, he focuses on dairy, pork, and meat markets. He also monitors (business) developments within agribusiness and interviews CEOs and policymakers.
