The feed profit per fattening pig among ForFarmers customers in 2016 was more than 2 euros higher than the national average. This is apparent from a comparison between the independent benchmark of 851 Dutch fattening pig companies and the Agroscope figures of ForFarmers customers.
On balance, the Lochem-based company claims that their customers achieved an average of 11.754 extra feed profit. These results are a result of a sharper EW conversion and lower feed costs. The EW conversion for finishing pigs has a score of 2,79 at ForFarmers, while the national average is 2,81. The feed costs per kilo of growth at ForFarmers were EUR 0,58. This is about 2 cents below the national average.

On balance this leads to 2,06 more feed profit per delivered fattening pig. According to nutrition manager Patricia Beckers, the results are mainly a result of the Total feed approach and the DELTA feed range for finishing pigs. That was introduced a few years ago. Jan Baan, director of Pigs, compliments the pig specialists and account managers of ForFarmers on these results.
