Pig feed prices mostly down

The price of the various pig feeds fell mainly in July. Although the price reductions, between € 0,05 and € 0,10 per 100 kilos, are modest.

This is evident from figures from Wageningen Economic Research. The price of sow pellet lakto fell by €0,05 in July to €27,90 per 100 kilos. Sow pellet pregnancy remains at €23,25 per 100 kilos. The largest decrease is visible for starting/transition pellets, which decrease by €0,10 to €27,40 per 100 kilos. The price of baby piglet pellets has fallen by €0,05 to €34,55 per 100 kilos.

Price-keeping pork chunks
The price of pork chunks amounts to €23,25 per 100 kilos, a decrease of 5 cents. The compound feed price indicator provides a price-based quotation for pork chunks until December, in which barley, wheat and soya are currently the most important raw materials.
