Wave of burglary at German pig farmers

25 October 2017 - Wouter Baan - 1 reaction

In several German federal states pig farmers are visited unsolicited by animal activists. The activists break in and shoot images of what are seen in the stables.

A television program by the German broadcaster ARD recently showed images of 6 pig farmers from North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse. They are producers who supply the Westfleisch slaughterhouse. The images were probably taken in the months of August and September.

Burglary reports again

Work according to protocol
In the past week, pig farmers in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, again reported burglaries. That is why it is now advised to properly access and seal the stables. It is also recommended to treat sick or injured animals according to protocol.

An investigation into the truth behind the publications is currently underway.
