Ronald Lotgerink takes office

Vion removes new CEO from Zwanenberg

9 April 2018 - Wouter Baan

Ronald Lotgerink will succeed Francis Kint as CEO of Vion with effect from 1 September. Lotgerink, 57, currently holds the same position at Zwanenberg Food Group, a producer and exporter of various meat products.

According to Sipko Schat (chairman of the supervisory board of Vion), with Lotgerink, Vion has acquired the perfect candidate. This is because Lotgerink has been a member of the supervisory board since 2014, so he knows the company. He is also well known for the suppliers, customers and producers of Vion.

Lotgerink is an experienced hand in the meat industry; since 1989 he was employed as CFO of Zwanenberg. In 2014 he exchanged this position for that of CEO. This makes Lotgerink different from his predecessor Kint, who outsider entered Vion.

Continue course
Lotgerink says he is proud of his appointment. The incoming CEO sees Vion as a system company within the meat industry and wants to continue and expand the course that has been set. When Lotgerink takes office as CEO, he will no longer be a member of the supervisory board.
