China reports outbreak on farm with 20.000 pigs

Another outbreak of African swine fever has emerged in China. This is reported by the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

The outbreak is the largest to date and occurred at a 20.000 pig farm in Liaoning province. This outbreak is 1 of 3 new cases of African swine fever that have surfaced this week.

A second outbreak occurred at a pig farm with 1.571 pigs in Panjin city. According to the ministry, a third outbreak has been found in a smaller pig farm, also in Panjin, where 270 pigs were kept.

A total of 30 cases of African swine fever have been reported in the northeastern province of Liaoning.
