Theo Duteweerd becomes new director of POV

Theo Duteweerd will be the new director of the Producers Organization Pig Farming (POV) as of 1 April. This is a new position within the POV.

In this position Duteweerd is responsible for the work organisation, the information desk and communication. In addition, he will focus on contact with members and collaborations with parties in the chain.

"We think that Duteweerd can further professionalize the POV. He knows the sector well, has a large network and has shown that he can lead a work organization in a complex field," said Linda Janssen, the chairman of the POV, know in a statement.

Pig farming experience
The future director is no stranger to the pig sector. He has been a manager at the Pig Innovation Center (VIC) of Wageningen University for 3 years now. In previous years he was a pig farmer himself. Duteweerd is also a familiar face for the POV, because in 2014 and 2015 he was active as treasurer at the POV.
