Denmark's Agricultural and Food Industry Federation has published new figures on the country's pig herd. This showed that on July 1, 12,55 million pigs were kept in Denmark. This is 327.000 fewer than last year on that reference date (-2,5%). When we look at the graph below, it is clearly visible that the number of pigs in Denmark last year was also one significant drop showed (-190.000 pigs).
The count further shows that all animal categories within the country have decreased. So the number decreases fattening pigs by 188.000 to 2,80 million (-6,3%) units.
