European pork requested in China

The European Union exported 2.220.203 tons of pork between January and June, which is 14,7% more than last year in this period (1.934.924 tons). One of the largest increases can be seen in exports to Japan, where 4,3% more pork went there. The Netherlands in particular showed significant losses growth figures see towards this country. The strong increase towards China is somewhat weakened by the decrease in exports to the United States. Exports to that country fell by 17,7% to 76.673 tons. This is partly due to the fact that the United States imported less pork in the first half of the year.
