The situation on the pig market has been the same for a few weeks now. There are more than enough pigs ready for slaughter, which are well absorbed by slaughterhouses. This is due to the excellent sales of pork to China.Â
The stable German pig price is indicative of the stable market situation. The VEZG quotation has been moving around €1,85 per kilo since mid-August
Traders almost unanimous
The Dutch pig trade also argues almost unanimously in favor of an unchanged listing. The DCA Fair Price 2.0 thus remains â1,76 per kilo for slaughtered pigs. The price of live pigs is unchanged at  €1,42 per kilo.
In 2017, pig prices fell sharply at this time of year, but there is now no reason to expect an increase or decrease in the short term. Â
