Brussels agrees to warm remediation

On Thursday 10 October, the European Commission gave the green light for a warm reorganization of the Dutch pig farming sector 

The European Commission's commitment confirms that there is no illegal state aid. An amount of €180 million will be made available for pig farms that want to stop. The pig farms closest to a residential area are the first to be considered. 

Opening in November
Entrepreneurs have from November 25, 2019 to January 15, 2020 to register. The Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality expects that barely 10% of pig farmers will stop
